WHAT SUBJECT IS IMPORTANT TO PASS DURING A MATURITY EXAM?
A modern, foreign language and two of the following subjects: physics, geography, history, information technology, Polish language, mathematics, social studies.

Our aim is to educate people who possess extensive economical knowledge enabling to provide answers for difficult and burning queries. The practical and theoretical knowledge acquired during the studies at the department of economy opens the possibility to perform a job of an economist as an expert in this field.
Participation in the interesting and unique classes, led mainly by young faculty, enables to acquire knowledge, skills and competences desired by the employers.
Students may take part in workshops and courses organized for them. They can also activate themselves in scientific student organizations or learn the Chinese language without payment.
A student of the department of administration may undertake one semester (or a year) at one of 150 partner universities under the auspices of international student scholarship exchange Erasmus+.
Our graduates successfully find employment e.g. in: companies, government and self-government administration institutions or business support organizations. The educational path offered to the students also enables them to develop skills necessary for individual performance of business.
The assessment granted by the Polish Accreditation Committee to the faculty guarantees a high quality level of education.
SECOND CYCLE DEGREE PROGRAMME
The programme lasts 4 semesters in the daily full – time mode – S (on site) and 4 semesters in the part time mode – NS (extramural).
They are completed with obtaining a Master’s degree (magister).
Among the basic educational contents there are e.g.:
- managerial economy,
- human resources management,
- analysis of financial and capital markets,
- international economy.

- economy and finances in a company (S, NS); exemplary facultative subjects: financial analysis, financial accounting, taxes in business, management of finances in a business; exemplary selectable subjects: corporation finances, planning and evaluation of investment projects, human resources and salaries, risk in business operations, information technology systems in finances;
- managerial economy (S, NS); exemplary facultative subjects: psychology in a manager’s job, controlling in management; exemplary selectable subjects: valuation and shaping the value of a company, image and brand management, international marketing, creating thinking techniques, business plan;
- social economy (S, NS); exemplary facultative subjects: business plan in social entities, social economy, social policy; exemplary selectable subjects: methodology of social studies, social projects, social marketing, social entrepreneurship,
- law in business (S, NS); exemplary facultative subjects: administration law and administration proceedings, law of obligations and trade agreements, labour law and social security schemes; exemplary selectable subjects: banking law and foreign exchange law, media and advertisement law, mediations, negotiations and arbitration;
- management and regional economy (S, NS); exemplary facultative subjects: strategic management, concepts of sustainability, elaboration of regional development projects; exemplary selectable subjects: innovative regional economy, European Union funds, auctions and public procurement contracts, risk management.
The graduates of the second cycle programmes are prepared to work on managerial positions, autonomously or as experts.
Acquisition of comprehensive knowledge in the sphere of economy equips the graduates with a substantial flexibility in adjustment to the needs stemming from the occupied professional positions.
They also possess the management and team work skills as well as the ability to cooperate with different social and vocational group members. The second cycle programmes also enable to continue education at postgraduate courses and third cycle studies (doctoral programmes), they provide the possibility to be employed as a researcher and/or a trainer.
