Research Objectives
The Department conducts scientific research in areas including:
- enterprise management;
- change management and innovation;
- contemporary management concepts;
- multicultural management in the era of globalisation;
- shaping enterprise–customer relationships, particularly in the SME sector;
- conditions shaping today’s economic environment in the context of enterprise management;
- digital transformation processes in modern organisations (virtualisation of organisational activities, digitalisation of business processes, new business models, innovative organisational forms, new models of inter-organisational cooperation) and the impact of digital entities on economic organisations;
- the ability of enterprises to influence the development and functioning of the digital environment;
- improvement of business processes through the use of information technologies;
- visualisation and communication of business models;
- business ethics and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Poland, Europe and worldwide.
Teaching Objectives
The Department’s teaching mission focuses on:
- providing students with comprehensive knowledge of organisational resources and their role in achieving competitive advantage, as well as with a thorough understanding of management and business ethics;
- equipping students with an in-depth understanding of digital transformation in the contemporary economy and in modern organisations, including the impact of the Internet, mobile solutions and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, Big Data, the Internet of Things, blockchain and artificial intelligence;
- supervising bachelor’s and master’s theses within the above thematic areas.

Consulting and Professional Services
The Department offers professional support in:
- consulting on business models based on digital transformation;
- developing concepts for organisational virtualisation;
- advisory services on the use of information technologies in enterprises;
- developing or updating organisational development strategies;
- analysing business process performance and creating process redesign programmes;
- drafting organisational codes of ethics;
- implementing comprehensive ethics programmes, including advisory support for the development of mission and vision statements as well as socio-economic policies.
